Saudi Minister of Finance Heads Kingdom’s Delegation at 124th Meeting of Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Held in Kuwait

Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, headed the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the 124thmeeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held on Thursday, October 5, 2025, in the State of Kuwait.
It was headed by the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and the Acting Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment in the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance of the GCC countries and His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
During the meeting, Their Excellencies and Highnesses reviewed many topics related to enhancing financial and economic cooperation between the GCC countries, and progress made in this regard.
They also discussed the progress of the Customs Union Authority on its work and work program, to support the completion of the Customs Union’s requirements. Under the implementation of the Gulf Common Market track the committee discussed the periodic report.
Minister Aljadaan also participated in the joint meeting between the finance ministers and central bank governors of the GCC countries with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, on the sidelines of the 124th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, where the paper prepared by the IMF on “Enhancing Resilience to Global Shocks: Economic Prospects and Political Challenges for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (2025)” was discussed.
