SNB Group Appoints Fawaz AlThumairi as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Saudi National Bank

2026: SNB Group has announced the appointment of Mr. Fawaz Abdullah AlThumairi as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Saudi National Bank, effective3 September 2026, the appointment forms part of the Group’s continued efforts to strengthen its executive leadership and evolve its operating model to support greater business integration, execution efficiency and the delivery of its strategic priorities and future aspirations.

The appointment comes as SNB Group continues to grow and expand the scale and scope of its operations, supporting the achievement of its strategic objectives and strengthening its ability to sustain growth and deliver long term value to its customers and shareholders.

AlThumairi brings extensive banking and leadership experience since joining the Bank, he has held several senior leadership positions, including Head of Trading, Head of Principal Strategies and Head of Global Transaction Banking, before assuming his current role as Head of Treasury Business Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and has completed a number of executive leadership programs at leading international universities.
